Tom Whiteside opened the shop on Halliwell Road after years in the fish trade: on the docks at Fleetwood, at the fish market in Manchester and at an award-winning chain of chip shops by the seaside.
Steve Pollitt took it on in January 2023 and gave it a full refit, with all new equipment and a brand-new kitchen. When the queue goes out of the door, there are Whiteside's umbrellas to keep you dry while you wait.
